Notes: This illustration is a revision and expansion of an illustration I posted about a month ago. It is meant to be a two page spread. Here is the the Left page enlargement. By the way, I realize the title might imply it is another of Aesop's fables. It is not. I had no better title and so there it is.

Notes: Right page enlargement. So many of my recent illustrations have been, more or less, portraits and that kind of irks me. I am now resolved to create more scenes with character interaction. Of course having said that I realize there's no interaction in this scene either. Yes, well, perhaps I'll create a sequel, but first I've been meaning to do some illustrations for The Hobbit.
